Mount Everest

"Doubly happy, however, is the man to whom lofty mountain-tops are within reach."

Company History

Everest Data Research, Inc. was started as a partnership in 1988 by Robert Geftman, Jack Luther and Margaret Fenton.

“When we started the company, we knew that it would be about people ... our employees and our clients.  We wanted to build the kind of company we wanted to work for . . .”    Jack

All three partners were working consultants for awhile until the company began hiring other employees.  Then the company incorporated with Marge as President and Bob and Jack as Vice Presidents.  Both Jack and Bob continued to work with clients who needed senior skills in the database arena.  The company expanded to include operating system and networking technicians but remained focused in technical areas.

Bob Geftman left us much too soon in August, 1996 when he died suddenly of a heart attack.  We still greatly miss his sense of humor, his technical prowess and his loyalty to his company and his partners

In 1999, Lisa Boyd joined Everest to bring order to the office chaos.  She tracks and administers our accounting, personnel support and most importantly, our company outings.

In 2001, Leah Rond left her career as a DBA to join Everest with the understanding she would take on company leadership from her mother, Marge, in time.  After spending five years meeting our clients and understanding our role with them, she became President in February, 2006.

We have continued to evolve and grow.  Now as CEO, Marge spends time meeting with some of our long time clients and providing one-on-one coaching.  We realize that technicians are people first and want to create an environment within our own company as well as our clients where technical creativity and productivity are achieved by people with balanced lives.

Without work all life goes rotten.  But when work is soulless life stifles and dies.” ... Camus
